The project aims to develop a highly efficient and environmentally friendly technology for stimulating and disinfecting crop seeds in order to increase yields and product quality using a microwave pre-sowing seed treatment plant «Parostok" and special irradiation regimes.

DeleteCurrently, 58 agricultural crops were investigated, more than 15 thousand experiments were carried out.
Moreover, 5 modes of seed treatment have been worked out, which are regulated by the power of microwave radiation. For different groups of crops, 2 different processing modes are recommended: more intensive - for cereals, pumpkin seeds, zucchini; less intensive - for beets, cucumbers, tomatoes. According to the types of crops, humidity, and other parameters we compiled tables of regulation of modes.
Treated seeds have an increased germination capacity (by 15-25%), legumes - 38.7%. Furthermore, yields increased up to 50%, ecological cleanliness of products significantly exceed the costs of farmers for microwave processing. Moreover, this technology has no alternative in organic production.
The effectiveness of the technology is confirmed by the "Michigan Agri-Business Association" (USA).
